Free parking spaces in Guildhall Square
8 cars and vans parked at Guildhall SquareFinding a parking space in Carmarthen is not always easy - but it appears that drivers can now park for free in close proximity to Carmarthen's Shops.

Earlier this morning no less than 8 cars and vans were parked in Guildhall Square - which officially is a car free zone. While there is some sympathy for the Reliance Van being parked outside the court building it is unclear why the other 7 vehicles were parked there.

Within minutes another car pulled onto Guildhall Square to park outside the Anglia Building Society, directly followed by a Carmarthenshire County Council van, which parked outside the Thomas Cook building.

This brought the total of cars to 10, which still left ample space for more - and surely the County Council van being parked there endorses the availability of free parking on the Square.

I know where I will park next time I'm in town!!!
